How to C7's and C9's work...well very
easily you just screw them into the C-7
or C9 socket on your cord and Presto
they work.
But what are some
differences in the bulbs ?
You can either have a 120 v (volt )
or 130v (volt ) bulb
5v Bulbs last about 6 months where 7v
Bulbs last up to 2 years and the
difference in price is very little . It
is always best to have a 130v bulb they
take power surges and do not blow like a
120v does.
Cities usually operate their
electric power at 124v so when you have
a surge and it goes to 125-127 volts the
filament in the bulbs blow....same with
household standard bulbs . But a 130 v
light takes the surge and does not
blow....next time when you are at the
grocery store check out regular on sale
bulbs they are all 120 v . That way the
grocery store has a often repeated
customer buying bulbs bit when you go
and buy a 130v bulb.. it takes you 3
times longer to go into the store to buy
